Labor Working Group
About Us
DSA North Texas’ Labor Working Group (LWG) collaborates with labor unions in whatever capacity they need. We join picket lines, raise money, and fulfill needs that our union allies request from us. DSA augments our labor allies, and always acts according to their preferred strategies.
About our work
Recent activities include standing in solidarity with the Teamsters at several local Amazon plants, picketing with Starbucks employees on strike in DFW, and fundraising with the Black Dancers of Dallas, of which DSA North Texas was the largest organized group helping out with their campaign.
We are proud of our close collaboration with UAW during the 2023 strike. DSA North Texas members took shifts on the picket line to maintain a 24-hour presence on the picket line that allowed striking workers to be with their families and still maintain a permanent UAW presence.
